Great that you got to capture this take-off so well.

A great image of one of the most ridiculous-looking birds Ive ever seen. The little splash from his foot, the 'speed lines' behind him and the color contrast between the blue water and red wings all work beautifully together.

Here's a bird that I don't see where I live Giangiorgio .. may be something a bit similar but they are in the zoo though  :-) - Good catch, TFS!

Hi Giangiorgio.  You have fired the shutter just at the right time, getting an excellent picture with nice composition and good sharpness.  It is not usual to see the flamingos in their natural environment.  Congratulations!

Like Tm J, we don't have these in Kansas or Oklahoma either! . . . wish we did and, like someone already pointed out, he has a comical/silly looking gait here as he "works" to get airborne.
