For some unknown reason the photographer standing beside you was intent on keeping the water out of this scene as he photographed it, therefore my version does not show the island as an island, this you will see once I have finish processing my images and get them uploaded to Photnet.  The water and the island add so much to this image, with the island providing an anchor, as I find my attention going back and forth between the spot-lighted Fall colours and the rays with a dark cloud on one end and the dark island on the other.

The diagonal corpuscular light rays are delightful as they highlight the tops of the trees adding a great deal of depth to the image.  I think the dark island is a key feature in the image too, and I hope you won't mind me saying that you placed your watermark in an unfortunate place, kind of cutting across the island.

Wonderful scene-the diagonal rays of the sun seem to lead from the cold sky to the warm fall colors of the forest.  Congratulations.
