Wayne Sadler 567 Posted September 26, 2013 What I remember most about the streets of Florence, Italy are buildings with walls of large stones and stucco in hues of golden honey, warm grays, glowing yellows and burnt and raw sienna; beautiful wooden doors with shiny brass; windows with iron bars; buildings with beautiful stone carvings; stone side walks and streets; glass and iron street lamps, graffiti; bicycles; the smell of leather; dark and damp passages and being lost. But when I romanticize Florence, it all becomes aglow. Comments and critique welcome. Link to comment
gungajim 75 Posted September 26, 2013 I like this treatment though I'm not sure how you did it. Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 567 Posted September 26, 2013 Thanks, GungaJim. Your visit and comment are most appreciated. Often I am not sure how I arrive at an image. I create photographs much like I paint. I try to feel the demand for a brush stoke, a hue, a tonal value, an emphasis a meaning. Many failures but sometimes an image that I feel and think I understand and like. I am lucky sometimes if others like it too. Notice from someone with your accomplishment of images is much appreciated. Link to comment

mike_palermiti 3 Posted September 26, 2013 Hi Wayne,Rather surrealistic, but I like it.The over exposed roadway could have been easily prevented, but perhaps youintended such an effect here.Best Regards my friend, Mike Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 567 Posted September 26, 2013 Thanks, Mike. As the image developed I learned to like the blown roadway and decided the leave it. Link to comment

Wayne Sadler 567 Posted September 27, 2013 Thanks, Patsy, Maurizo and Bill. Your kind comments are appreciated and encouraging. I generally am reluctant to post some of what I think are expressionistic works. I am thrilled to see that someone other than me appreciates it. Link to comment

lynnemass 10 Posted October 23, 2014 The painterly effect works so well with this street scene, captured so perfectly so the eye travels back into the beautifully lit domed building in the rear. Great composition. Link to comment
jeffwatts 0 Posted January 8, 2015 Wayne - you have struck gold with this shot. The lighting in all aspects works very well - don't change a thing. Jeff Link to comment
