dgv 1 Posted September 4, 2013 The most intelligent of the primates. A large brain in a body approx. a foot long (30 cm). What separates us from this creature is 4% of genetic material. Seen here at the London zoo where they build a large tropical enclosure for them. There is a warning sign at the entrance telling the spectator not to approach the monkeys because if they take a shine at a personal item, especially spectacles, they would take it...-:).Here I think she is staring at my camera...fortunately I was quite a long way away. For three months after she gives birth she parades up and down the enclosure with her baby clinging on for dear life. Link to comment
morophaenixmau 19 Posted September 5, 2013 I think often animals are better than "man", and this one is a proof of my idea! Link to comment

alfbailey 3 Posted October 15, 2013 Excellent detail and clarity and the stark white background allows a great appreciation of the colour. The composition is particularly well thought out, with the diagonal rope and even the tail of the monkey filling the upper right corner. Sincere Compliments! Alf Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted November 11, 2013 Another one with the Sigma lens....and perfect clarity! With that lens do you usually use automatic focus? I have never gotten an image this in focus with my Sigma, and it's presently just resting in its case. I wonder if it's human error (mine) or something could be wrong with the lens. At any rate, you sure got a great shot here with direct eye contact! We watched these little fellas in the wild down in Costa Rica.....they're a lot of fun! Link to comment
dgv 1 Posted November 30, 2013 Thank you for all your comments ,dear friends and please accept my apologies for writing this comment so long after you posted yours but I was away and my access to the internet was very rudimentary. The high key background Monte is a cloudy sky. I position my self beforehand where I could get a clear shot of the animal and sure enough she passed by that spot and more importantly she stopped momentarily and....posed for the camera:-). dgv 1 Posted November 30, 2013 Thanks for your comment my dear, I always use the auto-focus with that lens especially for moving subjects and I normally shoot hand held so I have both gyros on. I hear your problem though, there was a batch of these lenses that their focusing system was faulty and the manufacturer published their serial nos so they can be returned for a repair. I would check that If I were you. Link to comment
