Utah Canyon - View Large

There are so many rock formations in Utah, and all photographed so many

times, I had to ask what I could do different. I made an effort to bring out

the black patterns in the rock by increasing the contrast, The low sun

helped.

It is most certainly vivid, striking and different and therefore you have succeeded in achieving your goal. I tried zooming in to see if a complete abstract would work, but on balance I think you made the right choice of composition.
