Nice one, Laurent. The mixture of monochrome in the sky and buildings with the subdued colors on the edges of the picture works very well here. Sometimes this can seem forced but not with this picture. Come to think of it, I'm not altogether sure you desaturated it at all.

Thank you for examining this one and for your kind observation.I started out by some minor touch-ups and then I played with the curves just to see and stopped when I arrived at this which I thought was far enough from reality;I fear I could not get back to exactly this if I were to start over.....PP skills you know!

one of your very finest, Laurent; in my faves. the dof is magnificent....  and the finest PP is always just the perfect little touches that can never be repeated, because it's perfect coming from your mind's eye. the sunlight creeping thru on the whiteness of the church contrasted with dangerous sky renders the force of heaven against the forces of nature; like a parable. it's exquisite. good as it gets. that sky is unbelievable. dying to read my friend Alf's reaction... ;-}  dp

Wonderful shot! The perspective makes the photo!! And the road and yellow line takes the eye well into the picture. Very nice work!

Thank you for the most kind appreciation;I must admit that PP did dramatize the sky slightly more than it actually was but it was pleasing to my eye and I am glad it was also to more discriminating eyes such as yours.Honored I am to have this one join your Favorites gallery.

Thank you for viewing and for the kind observation. That yellow centerline is a great guideline in winter here but also a good leading line in photos as you point out.
