krpradu 125 Posted August 14, 2013 Viscri is only one of the Saxon villages of Transylvania, with a great fortified church(XIIIcentury) which is part of UNESCO World Heritage. The documents tell that the village of Viscri was allways a free community, never beeing part of a noble property.Around AD 1500 the village had 51 households, 3 shepherds, 1 teacher and 2 poors. GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted August 17, 2013 This must have been such an interesting Church to visit Radu. So old, I can almost feel the sunshine coming through the windows, see bits of dust in the air, smell the ancient wood and the 'years of time' in the atmosphere. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful part of the past with us,Sincere regards, Gail Link to comment
starke_shelby 0 Posted September 8, 2013 Impressive image Radu! I enjoy the twisted angle that you used for the composition of this shot. It just flows perfectly with the disheveled pews below. The lighting and time of day is fantastic. Link to comment
