Very pretty and "all in blue", my favorite color!! The little girl is out of step with mom. She'll have to switch feet!

Ruud, the fact that you have posted this image in color, shows that you find colors to be a strong element in it, which indeed is true. Though the mother and child are dressed in same color, there is a contrast in their endeavor. The lady is completely engrossed in her conversation, the child is very mindful of the steps. The pastel horizontal lines in the background throw up the vertical subject. If there are more steps ahead, the bicycles at the top of the image could have been avoided. This would make the composition stronger in my opinion.

Hi Ruud, I like the girls attention  to her Mom steps, she definitely is fallowing Mom, but Mom is not worried about her child at this moment, the phone call is more important, perhaps she is so confident on the past lesson she gave to her child, but with children you never know!!!! 

Excellent moment you capture here, I love your decision to leave this photo in colors!!!!

A sweet pic with nice use of stairs as backdrop and the bikes...   The two look like they belong together -- the color, the stylishness, the little one seems to watch her mother's steps as she descends.  I like this and love the blue
