Kind of reminds me of that old British '60's TV series The Prisoner that had a giant ball tracking down escapees. It was an odd series - only 17 episodes - and had (still has, I guess) a cult following. This picture is a little like that, it's going to have a niche market, I think, but those who like it will like it a lot.

What an odd sounding television show. Can't say I've ever heard of it. And, of course it won't be everybody's cup of tea. As we know, my stuff is either an acquired taste (read, "disease") or appealing to a person whose worldview is looking from  the inside out.

I do like it! And now that Jack mentions it...it does remind me of the Prisoner... One of my favorite shows in the 60's...

Before even reading Jack's comment my mind went to the Prisoner. I watched those episodes over and over again in my youth.

I love how the blue squats heavy on the scene, threatening to consume everything in single pigment.

Good God! Am I the only person on Pnet that has never heard of this series of which you all seem to have such extensive familiarity? I'm starting to feel like the guy that has his fly open and nobody informs him of it.

I like it alot. I was a young child in the 60's, but "The Prisoner" sounds familiar. Might have to look and see if I can find it online. If you know how to do it..or have a teenager around to do it for you....you can find just about any old program online.

Normally I don't like combinations of black and white and color, but here it works and the composition and feel of it seems perfectly at home with your treatment of it, which isn't heavy but is rather thoughtful and effective. Very strong content and perspective and it leads me right in, though with a healthy dose of trepidation.

I share you distaste for the combination of mostly black and white with a splash of color (usually a single color). It was neat when it was novel, at least for me, but now it has become a cliche, much like the time lapse images of running water. There was just some devilish impulse that made me do it here. And when I did it, I liked it. Believe me, I tried it with more subtlety, but just couldn't make it work for me. Even with the lush wholesome sky, there is something really ominous and depressing here. To me it's moody. The blue enhances that moodiness for me. Thanks for the comment. I can always trust you to give it to me straight.

To me, the blue is the equivalent of airbrushing over an evil.  The globe reflects a bit of outside light.  I don't see much light these days.  I see a lot of airbrushing.

I miss PN.  If I have ten minutes or so these days to look at pictures, I'm lucky.  I appreciate that there's something real in your photos, even amidst the unreal and unbelievable.  It's always worth my time.
