alfbailey 3 Posted April 30, 2013 I really like the contrasting tones and textures. The stoney foreground and crashing waves makes for a dramatic scene, and the girl gazing into the wild ocean adds a great flavour of contemplation to the image. She is positioned a bit too central maybe, but the image works well nonetheless!Nice work Ross! ryourth 0 Posted May 1, 2013 Hi Alf-Thanks for your always insightful comments, I thought about moving Lorraine closer to the right but hated loosing that bit of ocean, she was transfixed by the ;large waves, but the Lake Superior waves can be huge, it is a wild lake at times. It's amazing how an old image opens memories door & the pleasant memories come floating out.Can not believe how the times fly by, Lorraine is well married with two boys 19& 20.. Have come to the conclusion that the older you become & the slower you move, time increase exponentially. Can't believe tomorrow is May 1. OOPs, have strayed off the path again, but again thanks for visiting Very Best Wishes-Ross Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted May 2, 2013 I was just reading your response and couldn't help being amazed yet again by the fact that this is actually a lake (Albeit one of THE great lakes) the waves are tremendous! Oh and if I had a choice, I would move Lorraine slightly to the left, so that she is still looking inwards to the image slightly.Best Regards Alf PS: As for time, we seem to be on an ever accelerating treadmill, with ever depleting physical equipment to deal with it : - ) Link to comment
