Superb!!!

The clouds seem to be rising up directly from the water. The burst of sunlight onto the cloud/mist creates a spectacular unforgettable morning atmosphere.

A spectacular image. It seems almost unreal with the different planes fusing together. Best regards.

Jon has already used my superlative of choice, but I'll use it again.  Spectacular!  ...Mike

I had taken a 7 day Alaskan cruise from Vancouver Canada to Whittier Alaska on Labor Day week-end and this would be the last morning before we would be transported to Anchorage Alaska where I would spend a week driving around. This particular  morning was spectacular and was the best morning I had experienced for photo opportunities. I was still on the cruise boat taking images while others concentrated on breakfast.

To get from Whittier to Anchorage, you would have to take a fairly long tunnel which allows traffic in one direction.

I just looked at the 'details info' and I am not sure how it got corrupted but I am fairly sure I took this with a Nikon D70 which was my first DSLR and still have it.

I was looking for an image and I came across this one and while it had some views, I was surprised that no one had commented on it since 2006 and that was the driver for submitting it. While I like it, not everyone sees images the same way.

Supriyo, John H, Benjamin and Mike - thanks you for your positive comments.

PS just turning to the left , I was able to get this one also

Very nice Tony. You've certainly captured the essence of an Alaska morning. Nice work. Brent
