This is a most interesting pose with regard to the placement of hands.  I am not sure that her facial expression is not telling a different story from the hands.

I also notice that her hair, being dark, tends to blend into the background and much of the hair texture is gone. A hair light could change those features or some post processing that modifies the darker tonal range might make a big difference.

The hands also struck me as being interesting, and my initial thoughts were dimiss them as being obtrusive to the portrait.  On reflection, they do add a certain pensive tension that makes the image different.  I quite like that slightly offset composition too.
