With the ice buildup,free water space under the sheet decreases and

once the fish stop bitting,shacks have to be moved over deeper

waters.Hard work includes scraping off overburden snow,cutting through

the first 16 inches of ice with a chain saw and shearing off the

remaining 8 inches with an ice pick.After the new hole has been

completed,the shack is towed over with a snowmobile and set over the

hole. NB-see other photos in folder(posted) for shack being set on

hole....and texting to tell work is done.Thank you for your interest
