Pierre, Humoristic picture. Strong composition. One can get many thoughts. I wonder what kind of music the hand is playing. I think rather dull and slow. Perhaps it is indeed only a still life. Best regards, Marco

My good friend Pierre,

This is a most attractive image. Each element present contributes to the intrigue of an untold story.

The hand is not really forming any chord or in a position to be playing , but it does add to this composition as it is an essential element for music to be created.

For myself, this is not dull, it is fascinating.

Best Regards, Uncle Mike

Hahaha Pierre, you should have asked your wife to shoot you playing the piano, rather than holding and clicking the camera by one hand!! I can imagine the action, and that makes it a 'dynamic' picture!!  Very interesting.

Best regards

Ajay.

Apart from photography and art, music is the one 'true love' in my life!  You have a nice composition here with the flowers, framed picture, but aren't you worried that the cup will 'leave marks' on this fantastic looking piano? ha-ha...

The hand rounds everything off very well, I don't think the image would have worked without it.

Kind regards

Engela

"Almost" but not quite,  .........but come to think of it when is life ever really still?  Movement may be inperceptable,  but only a camera can make it "still"

Thats what I love about your work, the arrangement of a few well chosen objects can spark a whole series of debates.

Compliments and Best Regards

I owe an explanation to all of you, yes, there is a custom field MONTAGE  yes  no  on my details page and I clicked the YES button, but I should say what was there on the picture when I shot it, only the piano and the vase!

There are lots of elements seen in this photograph but they seem to come together to form a story of someone playing with a visual inspiration in front of him. At least that is my interpretation. Well composed and presented.

Regards, Pierre.

Too much personal and romantic information! Well, I do not think you are playing Rachmaninoff, but looking at yours  "Abstract Sunflowers"  and the small cup of coffee (the only thing I do not like in this scene), I feel more close to you my friend – I know now more about you. The photo from romantic and nice person! Best wishes.

My dear Evgeni, you certainly can't learn much about me from this picture, IE I never drink coffee when I play piano because I never play piano, never have coffee from small cups, don't hang around my pictures and don't like flowers in vase! But, I am romantic, that's true!

A prove that your creativity has infinite possibilities, for me this is prove that every thing that exist is subject to an interesting image! Warm regards my friend.

The first impression upon seening the image is that the hand position reveals that the hand belongs to someone who can´t play the piano. But looking closely, I can see the vase and the picture that are decorations elements, and with the cup of coffee all suggests that the piano is a decorative forniture and not a tool to make art.

Thank you Ruud, Gail, Jorge and Ramon!

Ramon, your way of making conclusions is extraordinary, the hand is mine and I never played piano, the piano was in my school and was never played by anyone!

Ramon was faster than me - it is exactly the same impression I had when I saw the picture for the first time. Only I can add is that the picture is not so dull since you put your "end of the world"(?) framed picture as a "decorative" element (yes, the original name is Abstract Sunflowers - but I see something else).

All the best!!!

This would be great to hang ABOVE the piano.  Great conversation piece.  Oh how I miss you here sometimes.  :)  ~ Such stories and vibrant colors.  ~ HUGS!  ~ Micki
