I have another capture that I processed in Black and White of this

cute little tyke in this folder. He is kissing his Mom in that image. He

was such a cute little guy, and his most valuable possession was

his "Spidey Hat'. More than once he said, 'I Wuv My Spidey Hat'. Of

course he loved a lot of other Spiderman things as well. I enjoyed a

good hike around our Jacksons Park on a dull but crisp Fall day. His

Mom was young but so devoted to her son. I hope to meet them

again and give then some copies of the images I took that day.

(many thanks for any visits and comments, with much appreciation,

Gail)

A very nice informal portrait that I'm certain will be cherished by both mother and child.

As usual, a well crafted gift from a beautiful person to other wonderful folks.

You will most assuredly be fondly remembered...

With warm regards from the Philippines,

Dave

"Spidey Hat"  Hmmm well I can appreciate his values I have the matching PJ's and slippers with the eyes that light up as I walk : - )

Love that bright, warm and glowing expression, the face of innocent bright enthusiasm for life!

Very well done Gail!

You are not far off, there was a few times while I was walking with his Mom where he would tear off ahead of us, or stay behind and want to go the other way, he was sure we were not 'heading for the playground'. Many thanks for your lovely remarks.

I imagine your wife was quite surprised and delighted, I know I would be. Our 'babies' grow up far too fast, adults with the same worries we have. No wonder we wish they could stay so young for so long. Many thanks for sharing your memories with me Laurent, made my day!

What a dear little fellow.  It's a lovely image, Gail, beautifully framed with wonderful colour.  I just wonder, though, whether his little face needs quite so much post-processing.

Thank you for your input, you both mentioned retouching and you are probably right, I am really quite new at Portraits/children shots and you advice will be quite helpful. Many thanks to you both for your visits, Gail

Gail,

Your work with child portraiture is just as  wonderful as your flower photography.  Well crafted and created and I am sure he'll treasure this image when he's grown up. Beautifully done.  -  Lester

What a charming portrait.  It's no wonder that this young gentleman likes to show off his Spidey hat!

One very small nit- the textural background makes it appear as if there's a bit of ghosting behind this fella's right ear.  Certainly this doesn't detract from the overall impact the image has.

I think what the problem may be Michael, I tryed to erase the texture behind the ear and I don't think it helped, I was wanting to reveal the whisp of hair, and it does not do much for the image at all. Tnks for that Michael, and so much for your visit and input;-) Gail

I do hpe to find his Mom in the park again, I had a phone no to contact but it didn't work out. I am sure she would love to have some copies, I think all her income went to taking such good care of her son!
