i love the way the foreground and background colors harmonize!

excellent communication with the model!

i might have cropped a bit more from the left, but that's not a criticism, just my personal taste if i were fortunate enough to take such an interesting image!

Hello Nicolaie

A lovely model and expression. I like the way you have framed and composed it. I like the drops of rain and the mood. I too like the way the red of the scarf ties with the red in the background. I have a couple of thoughts for your consideration. I might suggest lowering the contrast on the subject a little bit and darkening the background and reducing the vibrancy of the red in the distance. Colour draws the eye, the red draws the eye to the girl but the red in the back also draws the eye since it's lighter in tone and while it echoes the colour it also competes for attention. Also the eye is drawn to the light areas of the image and the background is the lightest area and competes with the subject for attention. I did a quick edit to show what I'm suggesting. Of course every has different taste and you may like your version just fine. Just my 2 cents.

Regards

Greg

Thank you for the suggestions Greg, they are valid. However, seing your version in respect to mine, I could say the same about the left side, your version is a bit too dark, and for me at least, it draws attention from the model.

However, both versions are fine, and I must confess I did not put quite as much thought as you did while processing this image.

Cheers !

IMHO. I like the original softer version better. The only comments I my do, to wash of the left background more. Or, crop-it of altogether.

Cheers.
