I shot a serious of photos from this yak herd on their way back form

the pasture land in Boroghil valley, a remote Central Asian region in

Pakistan, at an altitude of 3500 m. The light conditions were very

difficult with the valley already in deep shadow while the sky in

front was glowing from the setting sun. Unfortunately I did not have

enough storing capacity to shoot this photos in RAW which would have

given more flexibility for processing. Now the Silver Efex Pro 2

program offers me new possibilities to process files in black and

white and mono tones. Thanks for your feedback and rating. Karl

You give us a good impression of the environment of these herders and their charges-beautiful and harsh at the same time.

I like the depth you have achieved here and the sense of movement of the herd that is amplified by the dust.

The Nik Silver Efex Pro 2 is a great piece of software I am enjoying experimenting with it myself.

I really like the processing on this one!

Compliments!

Thanks Gregory, Verena add Alf for stepping by. I am currently working on a series of epic photos that depict life that has not much changed over thousands of years. Silver Efex Pro 2 is a powerful tool to create the special mood that I want to have in these photos. I am grateful for any critical comments that help to reinforce the expression of these photos.
