This is a different view of setting I already posted. What I think is very

remarkable about this photo is that is was shot at 17 mm and had a distortion

problem. Most of the distortion was corrected with the new lens correction

tools in CS6, quite a feat! Aloha.

This looks like HDR, (Apologies if it isn't) and I think it has worked very well. The sky definition is very well communicated, and the detail throughout is excellent, particularly evident in the larger view.  As for the distortion, I can only assume that the lens was tilted from a level plane, when shooting wide, even a small variation from level can cause distortion. I wouldn't think it would cause too many problems with this type of terrain. (though of course I could be wrong) But the same kind of distortion on seascapes where there is a pronounced horizon, can cause mayhem!

Nice work Dominick!

Best Regards

Alf, this one was processed in LR 4 and CS6, but is not HDR.   Sometimes they get that look when stretched out in LR.

Please forgive me Dominick, I don't have any idea why I missed the 'k' at the end of your name, I just realized it a few moments ago. Most sincerely, Gail

Dominick,  Excellent image with an interesting composition.  This looks especially good when viewed large.  There are nice textures, and the dusting (may just look like a dusting) of snow on the black mountain is most effective.  Best to you.  Larry
