Bella and Caudio, thank you for your comments. Bella, I am sorry, but I don't know what you mean by "you lasted the fine detail at the edge of the clouds". Could you please explain. Thanks.

Perhaps you mean "lost" the fine details at the edge of the clouds. That is true. The little feathery egdes of clouds will just turn black when you treat the sky as I did. Maybe there is a way around that in Photoshop, but I have not learned how to do it yet. Thanks again.

The sky looks like it's of a different world from that of the ground below.  It's somewhat like consciousness and subconsciousness: they belong together, but they are distinctly different in nature.

Thank you Stephen, Svetlana and Vlad. Stephen, interesting comment about "looks like two different worlds that somehow belong together". I got the same comment from Cruz.

No problem Bela. I figured out what you meant. I am a normal USA citizen. I can only read and write English and speak a little Spanish. I also understand some Italian slang because all of my grandparents were born in Italy.

These kinds of images always frustrate me - not the image itself, but the need to add some sort of comment that fits the impact of the picture. A simple "nice work" or "great picture" seems facile and not nearly enough but to effectively explain this photo's effect on me is very difficult. Although it is a picture of the real world, it plays as more of an abstract, a kind of musical note that resonates with something deep within my psyche. I can recognize and respond to it but can't pin it down with words.

The 2 clouds and the black sky captivate me and the rest are just necessary supporting actors.

The clouds appear to me two creatures in full flight with destination unknown.

Well done!!
