gordonjb 10,860 Posted November 1, 2012 60 mm macro shot wide open to narrow the depth of field. Thanks for any impressions, advice etc. Link to comment
kevin_beretta 118 Posted November 1, 2012 Fabulous shot. Like how the front leg comes around with the three toes. Great title too. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted November 1, 2012 Another beauty, Gordon, both the photo and the frog. The front leg bent around like that is the only thing preventing me from giving her a big smooch. I have a feeling she'd snag me with those gnarly toes and I'd end up in the belly of the beast. But then, I am known to have a rather over-active imagination. Link to comment

tony-mistretta 0 Posted November 6, 2012 He (or she?) is beautiful. Love the sepia tone and narrow depth. Almost worthy of a kiss. Link to comment
human images 4 Posted November 12, 2012 charming little fellow I must say --- and a continuing delight to see your pictures Gordon, to see how engaged you are in the photographs, how your subjects seem as if close friends of yous, in low or high places and across all species, no matter the habitat, your critters are everywhere relatable; even when you shoot monsters under water, or prostrated on shore, there is a distinct empathy with all beings at work Link to comment
Wouter Willemse 851 Posted November 18, 2012 for sure. I'll leave the kissing to somebody else, though - I'm already looking at the princess (assuming 'photo' is feminine in most languages). The tonality and toning are both brilliant, the shallow depth of field just right. It manages to give the idea that this frog is going to jump at me any moment now. Love it. Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted December 7, 2012 The narrow range of focus highlights the eyes, which is the most interesting feature on a frog anyway. They're literally 'bugging' out.....just great! Tones and composition are first rate too! Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted December 28, 2012 Only if he promises to turn into a prince and he really keeps his word! ;) Great capture and tones! Thank you for sharing. :) Link to comment
