Last rays set on the Eleven Point River ( a National Wild and Scenic

River) in Missouri . An Eastern Red Cedar looks down at the river

valley filled with sycamores and pines.

Those last light rays bring a warmth and colour to the image that borders on surreal. The textures of the tree to the left and the river zig zagging through the scene all make for a truly exceptional landscape.

Superb landscape, I like the colors ...

The distribution of light at this time of day really enhances the photograph, especially in the foreground.  I'm also glad you were able to show detail on the shadow side of the tree, much as the eye might see it.  Great overall composition as well.

Robert.  This an excellent capture of a perfect moment of light and shade. The trees have lost most of their leaves and yet because of the sun touching the tops while bare branches are shaded gives this scene its wonderful fall colors. A wonderful presentaion of this scene.  Best Regards,  Sherry
