While I am anxious to develop a monochrome image of this site, I think

that the autumn colors are appropriate to show the for me apparent

complicity between the mature tree and the abandoned or dead house,

which drew me to this subject matter. Thank you for your critique.

Good Choice to opt for the colour rendition, which becomes more apparent in the larger view.  There is a very atmospheric feel to that house ....... a kind of "haunted house" atmosphere for want of a better expression, that incidentally falls nicely into the category of Halloween.  The way the tree frames the house seems to accentuate all of the aforesaid atmosphere.

Thank you for your comments. You are right about the colours and I am glad that the feeling of the image is appreciated. Our biking stay on Mount Desert Island is drawing to a close, but this morning saw a fog that gave another appearance to this house that is near our vacation digs, so I have tried a medium format film shot with Ilford SFX 200 (without IR filter) as well as a colour digital image. It is interesting to go back to the same site, but under very different conditions.

The shadows on the house sre nicely done as well giving this image depth.
