What a lovely rustic scene, it could be a painting! The tree canopy frames the subjects really well.

Sincere Compliments!

Superb image, with a very interesting very sharp focus and great definition on the foreground tree and the more blurred background. Well done!

I saw what Daniel saw: a sharp focus on the foreground leaves with the man and goats less sharply defined.  I like that.  I know darn well I would have had the man in focus and then wonder what to do with the trees -- yours is such a better approach.

I am very surprised from the average approval of this my photo – actually, disapproval (I mean the average ratings).

Very rarely I really like some of my photos and this is the case here. Well, may be this photo does not follows the canons of photography, or may be I am wrong and do not understand, but any way, I still like this my photo. Thanks for the comments.

Pastoral scenes are not full of drama, super-saturated color, and dazzling light, so by definition you can't expect a high rating.  Yes, I'm a cynic when it comes to the ratings system, and I have been for many years.  I've seen far too many excellent photographs (as judged by me and many other commenters) receive low scores, while over-the-top photographs (as judged by me and many other commenters) receive top scores.  I've always thought that a rating says far more about the person doing the rating (e.g., "I like this photo," or "I sorta like this photo," or "I don't like this photo") than it says about the photo being rated.

Thanks Stephen, I know this and actually this is true and normal for any ratting system. Good or bad this system is working and this is the only way for my photos to be seen from at least 100 PN members. Sometimes I receive very useful (not all of them) comments. These comments are my only education in photography. Thanks again.
