Beautiful picture. In 1987 I spent 5 weeks in Laural Canyon, which is one canyon north of Convict. This was part of summer field class for my geology degree. I mapped 25 square miles including Laural Peak and the Sevehah Cliffs. I believe the Sevehah Cliffs are at the far end of the lake in the photo. Laural Mountain is shrouded in clouds. It was one of the best times of my life. I have been back to this area many times. The beauty is amazing. Your picture does it justice.

Wow, that is a sweet image! I might try and dial down the blown out highlights on the cloud and reflection but that's pretty minor overall.

Nicely done.  Excellent exposure with some tricky lighting. Framing, composition, & DOF spot on. Clarity of the water reflecting another mountain, beautiful.  Excellent image, thanks for this one.

Where do i start...just amazing, what timing for the blue sky to appear in such a fashion to produce this stunning image. The clarity in the foreground is perfect, the face of the mountains lack light to give striking DOF they look like they would achieve in other conditions... the lack of dramatics on the grey clouds take away a minimal amount but this is easily 6/7. Good title too.

Stunning image. Yellow foliage on waterline really makes it. But love the rocks in the water in foreground as well. V formation of distant hills adds to interest.
