Wayne Sadler 570 Posted August 31, 2012 I am fascinated by the architecture of Venice – its Moorish and Byzantine influence, the fretted windows, curved ogee arches and oh, those romantic balconies. The rays of the low sun of this day seemed to pick and choose points of illumination and shadow that made me notice and stare with even greater amazement. I tried to process this image to bring back the experience. Comments and critique are welcome. Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted September 4, 2012 Lovely capture Wayne. You handled the shadowed areas very well. Even though the sky is overcast, the sun managed to make an entrance. I can't get over the lovely detail on the buildings. Well done Wayne! Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 570 Posted September 5, 2012 Maybe it's your "seeing" or acute sense of the visual, but playing up the detail was so much my emphasis with this image. I wanted to feel every brick. I very much appreciate your noticing this, Gail. Thanks. Link to comment
hess 0 Posted July 19, 2013 Hi Wayne, very strong composition! Just the right amount of water in the foreground and just the right amount of sky in the background. Very vibrant colors. Best regards, Alex Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 570 Posted July 21, 2013 Thanks, Alexander. As you know those are always difficult decisions - how much sky and land/water to include in a composition. Thanks for the affirmation. Link to comment
