Another beauty from you! Perfectly frozen wings, nice color and detail, and the flowers have a lot of detail. You make this type of shot look so easy, but I know it isn't, and you are a master!

Thanks Gregory and Verena Sava! Yes, they sure pose for me now and then, especially with this fellow. This one is from last week, I have not seen him for a week now and I hope he is still alive somewhere since I have never seen or know of a HB (in warm SoCal) that would leave their territorial ground abundant with flowers & a feeder (that sugar water got change often). :-)

 

Thanks Phil! Glad you put it that way since I am torn between easy and difficult for this type of shot. It was easy up to a week ago and now with my main well-trained actor no longer around I had very few shot this week since the only other old guy that comes now and then is very picky about what flower that he would even bother to look or feed from and I am lucky to get a shot now and then. Aside from that, between the mistake I make and the malfunction of the wireless triggers I got no good shot this week. :-) - I would say the technique is there and once you master that it all depends on how good one is at getting reliable actors/actresses. I even had an ok shot with a P&S Nikon coolpix 5400 the previous week, btw.
