Tm, well done with the water drop. Are that bored of shooting amazing Hummer shots you had to add water drops?! LOL!

LOL! I did not add the drop Kenneth, the bird jiggle the flower so much it drips and I caught it by accident. From now till the next-leveled shot it's a long winded road of shot like this and I am not bored but kind of yawn here and there even though I am addicted to this now. I tried to shoot with natural light last Sunday and just no longer happy with the result since lighting looks better (nothing beats natural light) but with the bird flying all over it's hard to get beautiful shot. I kind of feel almost like cheating now shooting this way (may be I am, LOL! ) . I screw up a lot (forget to turn flashes on, forget to turn on the wireless receiver, the wireless stuff misfire ...ect) but still end up with a lot of good shots.

Well, for the 2nd time last night a couple of them are fighting behind me over the Stephanotis (on the way out of season with less bloom). So, I think I am going to strap the flashes to the front of the lens (with tape) and try to shoot that way. That will cut the f-stop down to F9 or so (with 3 flashes)  but we'll see.

Hi Kenneth! It's a burst mi amigo :-) - I will post some images tomorrow, in a nutshell, I got a lot of ghost wings for some reason. May be I need to buy a flash bracket that mount all 3 flashes to give it equidistance to the bird. Stay tune!

Hi Kenneth, OK, it's a mixed bag of hit and miss but I do get a lot of ghosting wings. See camera setup and a couple shots I got from that setup.

Notice the ghosting area at the top of the wings

1/160, F14 & ISO 500 - Handheld shot! all 3 flashes set to 1/16 power.

Nice shot of the Allen's ... It's a wonder that they can still see after that luminous blast.

You mean that you are one of the throngs on the pier... good luck.  Hope to see some great shots on the waves.   It took Dave an hour just to make it from the jetty to past the pier on his way to BC.

Thanks Steve! I've been having the flashes 6 inches from the flower and they back off a bit but never faze yet :-)   - Thanks for spelling correction Sir!

I have been waiting all year for the US Open after shooting it for the first time last year but so far this year I have not even build up enough 'urge' to go there yet. Do hope I find some time to catch some shot before it's over though .... it gets better at the end anyway ... when the top people rise to the finale  :-)
