Spectacular capture of a daily life occurence for these elegant birds.Very clean details of the birds and their bushy pedestal against the nice soft background make for an impressive image.Bravo!

Very nice Giangiorgio...great timing, great color, and so crisp.

Very well done!

By the way, do you use the 300-800 often?  If so, how do you like it?  I would like to hear about that.  Also, it would be a great review here on Photo.net - which might net you a new Tamron lens or other prize!

Best regards,

Dennis

(p.s. A friendly note from Mr. Language Person :>) -- I assume it's just a typo...but breakfast is spelled without a "c" :>)

Thanks Dennis for your comment and correction. The Sigma 300-800mm is a very heavy lens, you cannot use without tripod. I often use it from the window of my car on a bean cushion. I bought it 8 years ago and now has some problems with manual focusing, I am satisfied and I advise it, ciao Giangiorgio

p.s. Sorry for my English

The white feathers are alive with accent colors and beautiflly defined. Wonderful lighting. You really nailed this exposure.

A truly beautiful and outstanding capture. THe detail in the larger image is fantastic......... love the eyes.

Is shooting at such a high iso a pre-requisit of using an 800mm lens?

Great presentation, well done.

Thanks Grayham for your comment, sometimes I use 400 ISO trying  to obtein the exposure time over 1/1000 sec  to avoid blur. This photo was taken soon after sunrise with scarce light, ciao Giangiorgio

Amazing, beautiful and exceptional capture. The blurred colors in the background and the wonderful whites of the birds make this a real beauty. Truly the perfect capture.  Best regards,  Sherry
