I had always wanted to take a photo of this magnificent bridge, but never had

the time to because of traveling with friends not into photography. Well, this

time around I went with a friend who is into photography so we planted

ourselves near the bridge and took a number of long exposures, with this

being my favorite. Let me know what you think of the composition, and

processing. Thanks for your comments.

The long exposure was a great idea (I've been here once, and wish that idea had crossed my mind).  I get the sense that the right side is almost an afterthought, and I wonder if you could have changed your angle somewhat to move the far end of the bridge more to the right without messing things up in the lower left corner.  Regardless, it's a very nice shot; those old pilings really enhance the foreground.

Hi Stephen.  Thanks for your valuable input.  I tried to move the far end of the bridge to be in the right third, but I was not happy with what happened with the pilings in the foreground (it cut off the row on the right).  When I saw the clouds moving fairly quickly the first thing that popped into my mind was doing a long exposure.  I am glad you liked this one, as I do too.  Take care, my friend.

I'm glad you found time to stop this time. The bridge is a magnificent subject  and the old pilings add further to the interest and dynamics of the shot.  The  long exposure not only serves to smooth the water but also give the clouds that ethereal quality that looks so nice.  Very well done!

Best Regards
