PN member, Patsy Dunn’s images of sunflowers posted last year has me and

probably others who saw them chasing and maybe planting sunflower seeds

this season. So far no images to match Patsy’s stunning production. My

flowers haven’t bloomed yet but it is fascinating documenting how this flower

develops. Early on in its development it appears to reflect light in interesting

ways - this image was more difficult to process than I expected. Comments

and critique are appreciated.

I think you have suceeded in revealing some lovely texture in this image, beautiful lighting and presentation has further added to the delicate beauty of this capture. Your efforts were well worth the effort!!

Patsy,

Thanks for your kind words, but I am not sure if anyone is in the same league relative to your sunflower images. I hope to learn more from you this season on how to see these flowers.

Gail,

I appreciate your observations and comments.  You identified the areas that were the focus of my efforts to process this image.  Your comments are always helpful.

Hi, Wayne! Yes, you are right about the inspiration we get from each other ! I think you did a great job with lighting here. The result achieved in a difficult way is the most satisfying one, I think you have this feeling now! I really admire the details of the flower , the wb is right - the plant looks as if alive. Best regards, Tamara

Thanks, Tamara, for stopping by and commenting.  Sorry I  am only recently discovering I am a fan of your "seeing".  Yes, we learn and are inspired by the work of others.  I look forward to seeing and learning more from your art.

The light on this is absolutely delicious and so is the clarity.  Very well done!  The processing is different and very appealing.

Thanks, Pat and Tony.  Managing the light in this image was a little difficult for me.  I really appreciate your commenting about the light.
