Laurent,

You sure were in the right place at the right time to get this perspective!! The ripple pattern of the bow waves and the boat wakes obviously makes this shot!! Outstanding shot!!!

Thank you for the kind observation.Everything seemed to be right for this boat to create the ripple which was far more noticeable than that from the three or four other boats just prior to this.Midday light is a little harsh, but this is when the boats return with fresh lobster of the day.

Laurent, it's an excellent image. I wonder how it would look if you cropped out the sky. I think that would then focus more on the boat and wake.

Thank you for the visit and the pertinent comment.I thought about cropping out the sky but decided to include it to give a sense of the magnitude of the harbour.I have a closer shot of this boat coming in without the sky portion. The wake is a little shorter but the frame has more room to show some reflection of the front of the boat.I could not attach this shot,so I uploaded it in my "Recent additions" folder for you to have a look and comment when/if you have time.

Laurent, it's interesting to see the two images, thanks. My preference is still for a crop on this one. I think that you get an idea of the size of the harbour still without the sky. I feel that, in shots like this, the sky is a distraction turning an intimate landscape into a broader grand landscape but that, of course, is just my biased opinion.

Thank you for viewing this and the other shot.I appreciate your input and see your point. As the fishing season still has a ways to go,I will surely have the opportunity to spot instances of good wakes and will keep this in mind while shooting.Your valuable insight is always welcome.
