Amazing. A photo about emptiness - and it works so well. With that cloud at the upper edge and the small shadows that it casts underlining the fact that the countryside is so barren. Great photo!!!

This is a barren, hard and dry land really, very hot in summer ("Verano Caliente") around 40ºC, and extremely cold in winter with -10ºC, so, the changing weather and the lonely character of the steppe along the seasons is the paradise of the photographers. Thank you for your encouraging opinion!

Not just the composition and the feeling of desolation that it conveys, but the wonderfully subtle lighting and the fine rays of sunshine braking through, illuminating the cloud in their path. To me it conveys the feeling that there is light ahead when everything else can seem so somber, it is a very positive message to project.

Your insightful interpretation is new for me, I mean, the subtle (and hoping) message given by the contrast (contrasts again) between the sun rays and the dark surface (volcanic area with basaltic rocks spread in every places plus dark green dry vegetation), I like this meaning. I think you must visit this strange, lonely, and very far away from the well known world place. Your photographer spirit will be complete.
