krpradu 125 Posted April 7, 2012 Wow,spectacular clouds,I really like this moment caught and subject,is a bit of distortion visible more on left,IMO I would take of the pile and the object(i don't know what it is).The old barn looks excellent. All my best Laurent and a Happy Easter with yours. frigo 4,155 Posted April 9, 2012 Thank you for the kind comment.Great skies are plentiful here on the coast and it only takes a bit of sky-chasing to position our photo friendly sites to take full advantage of these as background.Meilleures salutations-Laurent Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted April 9, 2012 Thank you kindly. The down side of using the extra-wide end of the lens to get all of the wide cloud is the accompanying angular distortion mostly visible in the upright items such as the trees on either edges of the frame.I personally like this effect which is understandably not everybody's preference. You are totally right about the leaning power pole and the items at the left edge of the frame and I should have taken the time to clone these out;I rushed to post these before leaving for the Easter weekend.I thank you for your good wishes and hope you also had a good Easter with your loved ones.Meilleures salutations-Laurent Link to comment

alfbailey 3 Posted April 12, 2012 When visiting this folder I couldn't help but notice this one. The dynamics of the sky is very powerful. I would concur with some of the earlier comments relating to the distortion, but I also know its a side effect of the wide angle lens and sometimes unavoidable if tilting the camera is absolutely necessary. A great shot nonetheless and a matter of taste if you wish to correct the distortion.Best RegardsAlf Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted April 14, 2012 As you point out, distortion is amplified on tilting the camera as in this case to get the max out of that cloud.Again, thank you for viewing and for the knowledgeable comment.Meilleures salutations-Laurent Link to comment
