Christal,

Beautiful capture with wonderful colors & details.  I love the way his feather's are fluffed out.  Thanks for sharing.  Take care, Patsy

Thanks!  Seeing your shot of the bluebird inspired me to dig mine out.  They're so beautiful.....I hope we can keep them around!  This bird preened for a long time.....I couldn't get him to hold still! :-)

Christal,

That's a colorful bird!  Nice lighting and good eye with highlight.    Thanks for the ID.  Congratulations on being able to shoot from your window!

Cute little guy and an excellent capture.  They don't sit still for long so you did well... Mike

Great sharpness and natural colour, framed perfectly between the branches, and from the comfort of your own home too! : - ) Of course you have to have the presence of mind, speed and dexterity and a steady hand to be able to take advantage of such opportunities, so very well done to you!

Best Regards

Alf

hmmm....as for shooting from my house.....We were in the middle of painting the entire house, including our kitchen cabinets.  So virtually everything we own was out of its drawer, cabinet or closet.  When I saw this bluebird out my kitchen window, I called to my husband and asked him to quickly help me find the photo equipment.  Couldn't get the camera out fast enough.  This little guy kept flitting from branch to branch and I could only get a few shots of him where he wasn't obscured by branches.  Fortunately, the leaves weren't out on the trees yet.  And I decided to use my Sigma 500 lens because it could focus through and beyond my dirty windows!  :-)

Thanks for your visits and comments!
