Spring rains flow gently through a seasonal brook. Just learning focus

stacking, and a wonderous thing it is. Joy to the digital age!

I like the cool reflections in the brook and the fresh touches of green that denotes the coming of spring. This looks like a location worthy of returning to as the seasons change. How does this "focus stacking" work then, is it a series of blended images or dedicated software, or both?

Nice work Dave!

Best Regards

Alf

Thank you for your kind comments.  Apparently the masses of raters have little like of it, for hours now it has been classified as "below average".  I personally do not see it, but like any parent, I must be blinded by my love.

Focus stacking is a blending utility available through CS4 on up.  There are also several separate utilities to do the function.  My hope has been to increase my focus sharpness without the diffraction blur of smaller apertures.

I think I am going back to no ratings again for a while, to much negativity without explanation is leaving me feeling inadequate and confused.  Thank you again for your time Alf.  With best regards...

Thank you for the information regarding focus stacking, much appreciated. As for ratings without explanation, they are just numbers and don't help anyone. Personally I think it should be a pre-requisite to comment before you can rate....I'm not the only one that thinks so, but I it seems doubtful that anything will get done about it.

Cheers Dave!
