...not exactly a new idea (see e.g. Ryuijie) - but a long period of

frost in February invited to experiment with ice.

 

For comparison: The same subject (the withered blossom of a fuchsia)

is also in my Flora - monochromatic folder - without ice cover.

With, or without ice? Well its a matter of taste but I prefer the frosty coating. It restrains the colour and adds textures that are very aesthetically pleasing.

I think this is lovely, Wolfgang, a clear and refreshingly original presentation, The delicacy of the color and the clarity of the detail is superb.

Very delicate   even though at the end of  its life,the details of the ice gives it a form of a mummy.... and keeps the colors quite elive, on the grey BG. Nice work.
