A really beautiful action-shot, Monte!

This is an amazing capture with great detail.  The wings so high up in the air really makes the bird itself look small. Gives perspective makes one realize that more than half of this bird is its wings.  Super great shot!   Best Regards,   Sherry

As someone who has admired your work for years, I have to say that I am constantly amazed that you keep topping yourself. Your bird images, IMHO, work because they elevate beyond the realm of rote "catching the action" to works of art. The pose of this osprey more resembles an Olympic diver leaving the springboard diving into the stratosphere to create a work of art, in this case, breakfast. It is a fitting tribute to the great American diver Mark Lenzi, who passed away this week at the very young age of 41.
