A lovely creation Anabela, and certainly makes one think of our own 'destinies'. If this butterfly is so precious to be held so delicately, if I observe this image as it being the 'final moments' of the butterfly, then in our 'final moments' why wouldn't we be held just as 'lovingly'.

Beautifully executed butterfly. I agree with Pierre that the picture is about fragility of the butterfly. I'd also add it is about evanescent of the little creature.
