Good color, good contrast, good lighting, nice skin tones, pretty girl.

I pick up a horizontal light reflection on the bangs about 2 inches above the eyes, slight distraction. Did you over do it on skin smoothing?

Overall, outstanding.

The lighting and detail are impeccable, and the eye contact very well communicated. I do wonder if you ever think the skin tones are just too perfect? I mean they look fantastic and I'm sure the model would be extremely pleased with the results, I have a great deal of respect for your work, but I'd like to hear your views on this?

Excellent work!

Thanks fot your comments I'm appreciate them a lot.

Doug, I guess its the "light line" on the hair covering her forehead (i miss the correct English word for it) I guess that is from  the beauty dish being pretty close to her face so that was the shortest distance, I could have taken that down in post process but I missed that one.

Alf, I love the high end fashion magazine covers and the perfume commercial when the beauty is almost unreal. When you see a living person things move muscles in the face prevent you from locking your focus on a detail. In a photo, the time is frozen and a skin blemish that you would not notice in real life can stand out like a black spot on a white paper, it will be the first thing your eye see.  A great make up artist is always a good support when you shoot models too.

I will do one exception from my rule and post this shoot unprocessed. its made from the camera raw developer Capture one with no color adjustment more than the white balance.

Best regards Tore

Ahhh, blemishes and light can't compare to those eyes.  They were the first thing I saw and what I cannot look away from.  A striking young lady and an excellent portrait... Mike

An excellent image and a beautiful lady. I getting so that I can recognize a canon full frame image as I begin my search as to which full frame camera i will acquire in the future.

If the look of a perfume commercial is what you want to achieve, I think you have been successful.  Personally, I never believe those perfume photographs.  I think it's self-evident that skin tones that smooth in ads are not real, and I quickly pass it by.

Thank you all for your comments, I'm appreciate them a lot.

Stephen, perfume commercial style looks manipulated and that is done with a purpose to take away everything that distracts and make you see other details like the flow of the body and face lines the eye and sometimes the product if the model doesn't only have the task of been an eye catcher.

I think "fake" can be beautiful from an art perspective, to be honest I think that Leonardo da Vinci left some blemishes out of Mona lisas face too. If you look at the highest rated shoots on this site in the landscape category you don't find too many shoots that are not manipulated and most of them are processed pretty heavy. I like this shoots to they are far from real but they have an artistic value.

But thats whats great with photo we all have different taste, It would be pretty boring if everyone liked the same thing. thanks for your thoughts.

Best regards Tore

I've read the comments with interest , all of them valid  ! The pose with the shoulder pointing at the camera and the eyes making contact with the lens , along with perfect lighting , all add up to an amazing image . Excellent work as usual ! Bill

Many thanks for taking the trouble to show the unprocessed version, with or without the manipulation, it is without doubt for me an exceptional photograph, but as you have expressed quite rightly each are subject to personal taste.

Well beyond the processing or not, that's purely a matter of taste, I find your work distinctive. I know immediately in a thumbnail if a picture is made by you, and that means that the artist is recognizable and he has something substantial to offer.

Now some like red wine, other white, some do not like wine at all. It's up to us to select what we identify with and pass by the remainder. Admittedly, I rarely understand those that take the time to underline so graphically what they dislike. In one sense, it gives a balanced viewpoint I suppose, which is fine, but there are so many positive things to say and appreciate that frankly I would not find the time.

Technically of course the photo is without reproach, but more importantly I appreciate the eye contact and the personality expressed. Another striking image in my view, bravo.
