Anne,

Very difficult subject, with the very dark plumage contrasting with the highlights in the photo.  You have done a good job of capturing some of the dark detail.  I see the ISO was elevated to do so.  Nice bird position and you seem to have caught him trying to get at some food near his feet!  Very nice job getting the moment!
