The figure looks slightly menacing, a bit like the "Grim Reaper" holding the scythe, but I really like your composition here. The water filled furrows are an excellent leading line into the misty depths of the image and the warm morning light dispels the element of foreboding.

The vertical lines lead into the area of the subject, and I must agree with Alf on the "Grim Reaper" comment, but I like the composition and the atmosphere a great deal. Very good work.

A Sufi and a Killer
Most sinister undercurrent lurking within for one culture..
yet full of life and meaning and beauty for another. Split and smoking reality of shifted polarity

Superbly composed. The plough lines leading into the man and the tree. The man standing with a scythe poised for action, the sunlight streaming from the left, the tree in all its bloom with th leaves, and the gorgeous monochromatic tone. Great image!

Different, in a good way.  Yes, the figure with the scythe has a sinister aspect, yet it is countered and softened a bit by the warm light coming in from the right  the overall tone, and the distant space between trees that appears over the figure's shoulder in the middle left background. Leading lines are good.  The milky appearance of the irrigation channels also lend an otherworldly feel to this photograph.  This is a visually appealing and thought provoking photograph.  Very well done.
