This is a very touching scene for obvious reasons, but in addition to the human elements and all the connotations that can be drawn from the scene, I find the rain element has produced a very painterly effect that is entirely sympathetic with the subjects. A most impressive piece of work!

Sincere Compliments Donna!

glad it touched your big heart, Pierre!

Vlad, i wonder what i would have done with this scene without this TIMING; and i tried a bw version, but the bw was much sadder than how i experienced the scene; thx for your spot on viewing!

Sir Alf, thx for mentioning the connotations; i'd intended for the image to stir all sorts of allusions, and yah the rain,, spot on Alf... crying. cleansing, rebirth.

Ahmad, thank you so much for your heartfelt understanding of the scene!

El, glad you noticed this one ;-} dp

Most certainly in color. I appreciate the thought that has gone into taking and making this photograph - the camera position for one, the crop for another.

thank you Rajat; happily people were being charitable with the gent, so i climbed up to the roof of my vehicle to wait for something representatively poignant of the charitable happenings. it was a happy scene and sun shower, somehow, hence the color. ;-} dp

Really an excellent street picture; you caught it at just the right moment. The composition and colors fit the sentiment perfectly.

The macho cowboy love offering makes the image for me! As my younger daughter was born with a missing arm, the image is close to my heart, there are so many lessons to learn from individuals with disabilies and helplessness that some times is part of the journey. And on and on the world is full of surprises that opens the hearts to many of us. Great presentation my friend. warm regards.
