Malevolent

A very Severe Cyclonic Storm,named THANE, made landfall on early December 30, 2011,causing devastation to coastal area of Pondicherry & Cuddalore in South India. There was sustained wind-speed of 140km for 3 minutes, uprooting thousands of trees and damage to lives and properties. I have imagined a malevolent spirit , causing this Severe Cyclonic Storm and tried to depict the evil force.

The force can easily be imagined.Colours are very much eye catching too. Thanks for sharing.

This looks really like  a dragon storm!  I see even its eye on the RHS ... very nice turbulent movement! The colors, light,  and direction are great!

I think Pnina mentioned "Dragon Storm" and indeed a dragon figure can be seen in the turbulent cloud formations, and looking like it is breathing fire!  I wonder if this would look quite so dramatic with cold darker tones as an alternative?  Very well done!

Truly a storm that would terrify many, and you've depicted it quite 'Malevolenly' Amal. I would be so scared to see one of these coming. I am sure there are people today that haven't quite gotten over the 'fierceness' with which it blew and the devastation it caused.

I do not like to hear the wind when it blows so hard. WE are fortunate not to have as many storms such as this compared to other countries, but the few we've had are terrifying enough.

Gail, the nightmare of tornadoes,hurricanes & cyclones that ravage USA from time to time, causing untold damage of properties and lives are well -known. Viewing the havoc caused by Hurricane Katrina & Cyclone Yasi made me realize that we are helpless against the fury of Nature. I tried to depict that fury of Nature in this image. Last month people of Pondicherry witnessed the fury of cyclone named THANE.Thank you  very much for your concern & good-wishes.

Jack, this is the effect of Cyclone Thane that ravaged Pondicherry last month 0n 30th night. Overnight, millions of trees were uprooted along the path of cyclone in South India.
