Blue Latan Beauty (View Larger)

The Blue Latan palm has a very distinctive blue cast and very board

fronds. The sun was shining on the white parts, the greens were

partially shaded and the blue areas were in full shade. I increased

the contrast and saturation and used the Pixel Bender filter to smooth

the frond which covered in small bumps. I find the strong lines and

abstract quality to be eye appealing.

I agree- nice abstract with plenty of color and movement.

I would never have guessed it was a palm frond unless I had read your description! The colours and textures are amazing, and yes very aestheticaly pleasing as an abstract. My best guess would have been theatrical curtains take from an acute angle.  Very well done Leo!

Yes, and me too. That's why I posted a comment.

I also have pictures of the palm leaves. Yours palm leaf is of a more technical nature, artificial-like, having a perfectly sharp lines. I don't like that.
