hstelljes 41 Posted December 18, 2011 Hello Mehmet, A perfect title on a truly expressive portrait. This woman has much character in those lines. Very emotion provoking and sadness in the eyes. Looking at this makes it a little difficult but I wish you and your family a very Happy Holiday. Take care Mehmet.Sincerely,Holger Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted December 21, 2011 I often wonder just how you manage day to day Mehmet. I cannot help but KNOW that you are a very caring and compassionate man, and although it is the best type of person to be in the profession you work in, you must feel very, very deeply about these people. There must be times when sadness grips your heart and you cannot help but feel deep sorrow yourself. It also takes a 'selfless' personality to work in this capacity. And I'd imagine there would be certain 'boundaries' you must set as to just how much 'you give of yourself emotionally', or else you would 'burn out'.You give these people a 'face' and a 'voice' in your Portraits. You depict them in a very kind and loving manner, making not only their existance count, but at the same time, no matter what their status in society, you make their lives 'worthwhile'. Not too many people would even bother. This is such a photograph, at least to me. This woman's face speaks volumes of the years she has lived, the sorrows she has seen and felt, and the grief she must bear. I do hope between the lines on her face and behind those sad eyes, deep within there is a spark of happiness for the times she did feel that 'glorious feeling' if even for a few moments in time.I do not think I shall ever forget this Portrait and the feelings it evoked in me. Thankyou for bringing us all this 'slice of reality', especially at this time of year, may we all become more aware of the plight of others, not just at Christmas - but every day of the year. Most sincerely, Gail Link to comment
