Hello Dave, The really interesting part of the photo is the yellow and green growth on the left. IMHO it would have made a better composition had you pushed that area more towards the center of the image.

I was thinking pretty much along the same lines as Marc.  To achieve the desired effect I would rotate the canvas anti-clockwise in order to obtain a diagonal composition and eliminate the lower right none essential part of the image, you can add dark canvas as appropriate. Great Vibrant colours

Marc and Alf, thanks for taking the time to make your helpful suggestions. The suggested replacement of the point of interest is much better. Rule of thirds essentially - I learned that well after I took this shot and I see it really applies here. Alf's rework really brings that out. Again thanks to each of you, I really appreciate it.
