tonyfrench 0 Posted November 8, 2011 Gunnar, i like the funnel effect of all of the elements coming from the upper left and opening up into the opposite edges of the frame. The patterns and textures are lovely. The gold and copper tones work nicely with the man's red shirt and zig-zag shadow drawing our focus immediately to him. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted November 10, 2011 hi Gunnar. the golds are a nice tool that emphasize the sun and the red tee adds nice contrast. with a multitude of shapes and use of space this makes for a well composed shot as well.. take care sam Link to comment
wolfgangarnold 142 Posted November 10, 2011 impressive photo: the composition is virtuoso - shapes and lines are nearly perfect (I'd just have preferred if the line on the LHS would have run a little furhter up - but maybe then other disturbing elements at the top would have entered the stage). Others have mentioned light and colours - no need to add. But, what I like most in this photo is the timing: you've captured (well or "placed") the jogger at the golden cut and - a subtle but strong detail - while he is "airborne". This adds quite some dynamic and underlines 'contrast' between moving jogger and resting stones.cheers, Wolfgang Link to comment
3m 0 Posted November 11, 2011 I really like all the visible lines & textures, warm colors and precision of the placement of your subject in the photo. As Wolfgang pointed out, the fact that you captured this just as the jogger was airborne adds real dynamic (as does the serrated shadow on the steps) to the overall image.. Lovely work..! trisha jean-angela 5 Posted November 30, 2011 Great image! I love the solitary man against the vast amount of stonework and steps. You caught him at the perfect moment with his feet not touching the ground. The shadow is the icing on the cake. Very well done. Thank you for sharing. :) Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted December 2, 2011 Terrific, wonderful - it's so good it actually made me smile. He seems so perfectly positioned on the stairs, as friendly and benevolent as a ladybug flitting happily through a stadium.. You come up with these gems one after another. Keep it up and I'll keep applauding from the cheap seats. Link to comment
alfbailey 2 Posted December 2, 2011 I really like the warmth of the colours and light to dark gradation of the image. The shapes and geometric lines and of course the human element that brings the whole scene to life. Very well done!Best RegardsAlf Link to comment
