This seems to be mid-way between macro and landscape, so I'll just call it

a small element of a landscape. The title is whimsical, reflecting the three

groupings of mushrooms growing on the side of an old maple tree.

Comments and suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Stephen, I enjoyed the caption and exploring the photograph to understand the meaning of the caption.  It is an interesting composition.  The light must have been low for such a long exposure and you captured just the right details in the grass/trees around.  Nice shot. Regards! Divya

The dark green tones of the b/g accentuate the rich white/beige tones of the mushrooms...!!

It an interesting close up image nicely composed and precisely exposed...!!

Got to love both the photograph and the title, it certainly raised a smile : - ) I think it can be a real challenge photographing fungi, very rarely do I see an image of one that makes me stop and explore further, but this one did and I think the composition was the key.

Sincere Compliments

Alf

Excellent composition, really draws one into the scene. Even without the title, it's clear that this is a geographical location for pixies....or maybe, pixel-ies. Terrible pun, and I'm almost sorry for it, but that's part of the fun in viewing this fantasy world.

Call it symbology or any other term and still this image represents the title very appropriately via the community of mushrooms pictured here. A well seen image and excellently photographed. Best regards!
