Great picture Bill. The balance of colors and volumes is perfect. Great composition. One thing, however, bugs me a little. The picture feels over processed. I have the same problem with my own bird pics. They all look oversharpened, somewhat unatural. This is probably a crop. I don't know. Maybe it's just me. It really is a beautiful image but I can't help feeling the "artifice". If you do find a solution, please let me know. I have the same problem: my 400 5.6 L on full frame does not reach enough, I have to crop, and I get undesirable sharpening effects.
