Ranuncula's are among my most favorite of flowers, this image is truly beautiful and most colourful. Nicely placed within the frame, and excellent attention to detail, colour, compostion, and light.

This series of images (and there is few more to come) were taken on an open day at the Hunter Valley Gardens about 1.5 hrs from Sydney. I’m glad the gardens are there because, to be frank and with a degree of understatement, the Australian native bush is generally not that colourful – green, more green and slightly yellowish green; ok maybe a little bit of brownish-green but mostly it’s just green.
